SB606,1,2 1An Act to create 85.52 (6) of the statutes; relating to: publishing and reporting
2requirements for the transportation infrastructure loan program.

This bill requires the Department of Transportation to publish and report
various information relating to the transportation infrastructure loan program.
Under the program under current law, DOT is authorized to make loans and
provide other assistance to eligible applicants for highway projects or transit capital
projects. Funding for the program is provided from the transportation infrastructure
loan fund, a nonlapsible trust fund.
The bill requires DOT to publish on the agency's Internet site 1) the application
and application process for participation in the program, 2) information on each
project receiving funding, and 3) information regarding interest earned from
investments of the loan fund. The bill also requires DOT to report each new
agreement for a loan or other assistance under the program to the legislature.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB606,1 3Section 1. 85.52 (6) of the statutes is created to read:

185.52 (6) Reporting. (a) The department shall publish on the department's
2Internet site the application and a description of the application process for applying
3for a loan or other assistance under this section.
SB606,2,64 (b) For each applicant receiving a loan or other assistance under sub. (3), the
5department shall publish on the department's Internet site all of the following
6information:
SB606,2,77 1. The nature of the project.
SB606,2,88 2. The type of financing that is requested.
SB606,2,119 3. The terms of financing that are approved, including principal and interest
10payments, the length of the agreement, and any other conditions or information the
11department determines is relevant.
SB606,2,1212 4. An indication of whether the project is outstanding or closed.
SB606,2,1413 (c) The department shall publish on the department's Internet site information
14regarding interest earned from investments made under sub. (4m).
SB606,2,1615 (d) The department shall report each new agreement for a loan or other
16assistance under sub. (3) to the legislature at the time that the award is made.
