3sexual assault, and gender-based violence.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,96,64(c) Support the development and implementation of comprehensive,
5community-based violence prevention initiatives within local units of government
6across the state, including collaborating with law enforcement agencies.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,96,87(d) Develop sources of funding beyond state revenues to maintain the office
8and expand its activities.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,96,109(e) Create a directory of existing violence prevention services and activities in
10each county.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,96,1511(f) Support and provide technical assistance to local organizations that
12provide violence prevention services, including in seeking out and applying for
13grant funding in support of their initiatives and provide technical assistance and
14support to the organizations to maximize the organizations likelihood of success
15with their applications.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,96,1616(g) Develop public education campaigns to promote safer communities.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,96,2117(3) Grants. (a) From the appropriation under s. 20.505 (1) (bs), the office of
18violence prevention shall award grants to support effective violence reduction
19initiatives in communities across the state, including supporting efforts to reduce
20gun violence, group violence, suicides, domestic violence, intimate partner violence,
21and gender-based violence.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,97,222(b) The grants under this subsection shall be used to support, expand, and
23replicate evidence-based violence reduction initiatives, including hospital-based
24violence intervention programs, evidence-based street outreach programs, and

1focused deterrence strategies, that seek to interrupt the cycles of violence,
2victimization, and retaliation in order to reduce the incidence of firearm violence.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,97,63(c) Of the grants the department awards under this section, the department
4shall award up to $3,000,000 in grants each fiscal year to federally recognized
5American Indian tribes or bands in this state and organizations affiliated with
6tribes relating to missing and murdered indigenous women.
AB50-ASA2-AA15,97,117(d) Of the grants the department awards under this section, the department
8shall award up to $500,000 in suicide prevention grants each fiscal year to
9organizations or coalitions of organizations, which may include a city, village, town,
10county, or federally recognized American Indian tribe or band in this state, for any
11of the following purposes:
