NR 809.01NR 809.01 Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum standards and procedures for the protection of the public health, safety and welfare in the obtaining of safe drinking water. NR 809.02(1)(1) Where the department exercises discretion allowed under this chapter to require a water supplier for a public water system to perform construction, repairs, monitoring or other activities which would necessitate expenditure of resources, the department shall explain in writing the reasons for the requirements. NR 809.02(2)(2) A decision by the department to grant a waiver shall be made in writing and shall set forth the basis for the determination.
