NR 230.132(3)(3) If a process wastewater impoundment is designed, constructed, and operated to contain the precipitation from the 10-year, 24-hour rainfall event as established for the impoundment’s location by the national climatic center, national oceanic and atmospheric administration, the impoundment may discharge a volume of process wastewater equivalent to the volume of precipitation which falls within the impoundment in excess of that attributable to the 10-year, 24-hour rainfall event, when such an event occurs. NR 230.132(4)(4) During any calendar month, a process wastewater impoundment may discharge a volume equivalent to the greater of the following: NR 230.132(4)(a)(a) The difference between the precipitation for that month which falls within the impoundment and the evaporation for that month; NR 230.132(4)(b)(b) The difference between the mean precipitation for that month which falls within the impoundment and the mean evaporation for that month as established by the national climatic center, national oceanic and atmospheric administration for the impoundment’s location or as otherwise established if no monthly evaporation has been determined by the national climatic center.
