AUTHORITY AND DEFINITIONS
Nat Med 1.02 Definitions. Nat Med 1.01 HistoryHistory: EmR2402: emerg. cr., eff. 1-15-24; CR 23-074: cr. Register August 2024 No. 824, eff. 9-1-24. Nat Med 1.02(1)(1) “Board” means the naturopathic medicine examining board. Nat Med 1.02(2)(2) “Department” means the department of safety and professional services. Nat Med 1.02(3)(3) “Emergency” means a circumstance in which there is an immediate risk to a patient’s life, body part or function which demands prompt action. Nat Med 1.02(4)(4) “Jurisprudence examination” means the board approved examination on the state law related to the practice of naturopathic medicine. Nat Med 1.02(5)(5) “Licensee” means a person licensed to practice as a naturopathic doctor or limited-scope naturopathic doctor in this state. Nat Med 1.02(7)(7) “Modes of treatment” means treatment, including diagnostic procedures, generally considered to be within the scope of current and acceptable standards of care. Nat Med 1.02(11)(11) “NPLEX” means the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination administered by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners.
