ATCP 160.77 ATCP 160.77 Youth group booths, banners and scrapbooks; department 32. A fair board may establish entry classes related to youth group booths, banners and scrapbooks. Exhibitors shall have made each exhibit, in its entirety, subsequent to the closing date of the prior year’s fair. For a scrapbook or banner entry class, the fair board may pay first-place to fourth- place premiums of $8.00, $6.00, $4.00 and $2.00. For a booth entry class, the fair board may pay first-place to fourth-place premiums of $16.00, $14.00, $12.00 and $10.00.

A fair board may establish entry classes comprised of projects involving careers, citizenship, cultural heritage, health, history, inter-generational programs, international relations, safety, and other similar projects. ATCP 160.80 ATCP 160.80 Educational and school exhibits; department 35.

ATCP 160.80(1) (1) General.

ATCP 160.80(1)(a) (a) No state premium aid may be paid on education department premiums unless the fair board files with the department a complete list of exhibitors.

ATCP 160.80(1)(b) (b) All educational exhibits shall be displayed at the fair.

ATCP 160.80(2) (2) School booth system.

ATCP 160.80(2)(a) (a) The exhibit shall consist of a school booth display representing the entire school or a subject taught within the school. Each school is limited to one entry under the school booth system. The subject matter for exhibits include any subject taught in the school during the school year.

ATCP 160.80(2)(b) (b) Judging shall be based on factors such as arrangement, theme, entry, eye appeal, and creativeness.

ATCP 160.80(2)(c) (c) Premiums on school booth displays shall be paid to the school. The fair board may pay first-place to fourth-place premiums of $75.00, $70.00, $65.00 and $60.00.

ATCP 160.80(3) (3) Student group displays.

ATCP 160.80(3)(a) (a) The exhibit shall consist of a student group other than a student group representing the entire school. The exhibit may not be displayed as part of a school booth exhibit. Exhibits entered under student group displays shall meet all of the following requirements:

ATCP 160.80(3)(a)1. 1. Include school name, teacher’s name, name and address of student, and exhibitor’s number on the official entry form.

ATCP 160.80(3)(a)2. 2. Be entered under the name of the school with participating grades listed on the entry.

ATCP 160.80(3)(a)3. 3. Be comprised of school work completed during the current school year.

ATCP 160.80(3)(b) (b) Student group displays shall be judged on originality, creativeness, quality, subject material, art media, individual and group work, attractive arrangement, and percentage of pupils participating.

ATCP 160.80(3)(c) (c) Premiums on student group displays may be paid to the teacher or to the school. The fair board may pay first-place to fourth-place premiums of $12.00, $10.00, $8.00 and $6.00.

ATCP 160.80(4) (4) Individual student entries.

ATCP 160.80(4)(a) (a) The exhibit is entered by an individual student, including special education students. The exhibit may not be displayed as part of a school booth exhibit or a student group display. Specific classes for individual competition for all grade levels may be selected by the fair board. Individual students may enter only one exhibit in each class. Exhibits entered under an individual shall meet all of the following requirements:

ATCP 160.91 ATCP 160.91 Judging regulations.

ATCP 160.91(1) (1) Judging shall be done at fairs by individuals who are registered with the department. In no case shall any person who is an officer or director of a fair be eligible to judge exhibits at such fair; nor shall any person interested directly or indirectly in exhibits shown in any department of a fair be eligible to judge articles or animals in that department.
