29.563 29.563 Fee schedule.
29.563(1)(1)General. Unless specifically provided otherwise in this chapter, a person shall pay the applicable fees specified in subs. (2) to (14).
29.563(2) (2)Hunting approvals. Except as provided in sub. (2m), (2r), and (6m), the fees for hunting approvals are as follows:
29.563(2)(a) (a) Resident licenses.
29.563(2)(a)1.1. Small game: $15.25.
29.563(2)(a)2. 2. Small game issued to a resident senior citizen: $6.25.
29.563(2)(a)3. 3. Small game issued to a member of the armed forces under s. 29.194 (3): $0.
29.563(2)(a)4. 4. Small game issued to persons who are under 18 years of age: $6.25.
29.563(2)(a)5. 5. Deer: $21.25.
29.563(2)(a)5g. 5g. Deer issued to persons who are under 18 years of age: $17.25.
29.563(2)(a)5m. 5m. Elk: $46.25.
29.563(2)(a)6. 6. Class A bear: $46.25.

29.563(2)(c)1m. 1m. Bonus deer issued for the purpose specified in s. 29.181 (2) (a) 2.: $5.75 or, if a fee is established by rule under s. 29.181 (4), the fee established by rule.
29.563(2)(c)2. 2. Bonus deer issued to a person under s. 29.181 (2m): $0.
29.563(2)(d) (d) Nonresident permit.
29.563(2)(d)1.1. Bonus deer issued for the purpose specified in s. 29.181 (2) (a) 1.: $19.25.
29.563(2)(d)2. 2. Bonus deer issued for the purpose specified in s. 29.181 (2) (a) 2.: $5.75 or, if a fee is established by rule under s. 29.181 (4), the fee established by rule.
29.563(2)(e) (e) Stamps.
29.563(2)(e)1.1. Wild turkey: $5.
29.563(2)(e)2. 2. Pheasant: $9.75.
29.563(2)(e)3. 3. Waterfowl: $6.75. Beginning on July 10, 2021, the amount is $11.75.
29.563(2)(f) (f) Resident authorizations. Each additional wild turkey hunting authorization issued to a resident under s. 29.164 (4) (b): $9.75.
29.563(2)(g) (g) Nonresident authorizations. Each additional wild turkey hunting authorization issued to a nonresident under s. 29.164 (4) (b): $14.75.
29.563(2g) (2g)Reduced fees for certain archer and crossbow licenses. Notwithstanding the fees under sub. (2) (a) 8. and 8r. and (b) 6. and 6m., the fee is $2.25 for any of the following licenses:
29.563(2g)(a) (a) A resident archer hunting license issued to a person who holds a resident crossbow hunting license, provided that the resident archer hunting license and the resident crossbow hunting license authorize hunting during the same hunting season.
29.563(2g)(b) (b) A nonresident archer hunting license issued to a person who holds a nonresident crossbow hunting license, provided that the nonresident archer hunting license and the nonresident crossbow hunting license authorize hunting during the same hunting seasons.
29.563(2g)(c) (c) A resident crossbow hunting license issued to a person who holds a resident archer hunting license, provided that the resident crossbow hunting license and the resident archer hunting license authorize hunting during the same hunting season.
29.563(2g)(d) (d) A nonresident crossbow hunting license issued to a person who holds a nonresident archer hunting license, provided that the nonresident crossbow hunting license and the nonresident archer hunting license authorize hunting during the same hunting seasons.
29.563(2m) (2m)Hunting approvals for certain nonresidents. The fees for hunting approvals for a person who is under 18 years of age, who is not a resident, and who exhibits proof that his or her parent is a resident shall be the same as the fees for hunting approvals for residents under sub. (2) (a) and (c).
29.563(2r) (2r)Hunting approvals for 10 and 11 year olds. The fee for a hunting approval listed under sub. (2) issued to a person who is 10 or 11 years of age is $4.25.
29.563(3) (3)Fishing approvals. Except as provided in subs. (3m), (3r), and (6m), the fees for fishing approvals are as follows:
29.563(3)(a) (a) Resident licenses.
29.563(3)(a)1.1. Annual: $19.25.
29.563(3)(a)2. 2. Annual fishing issued to a resident senior citizen: $6.25.
29.563(3)(a)3. 3. Husband and wife: $30.25.
29.563(3)(a)4. 4. Annual fishing license issued to 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds: $6.25.
29.563(3)(a)4m. 4m. One-day fishing: $7.25.
29.563(3)(a)5. 5. Two-day sports fishing: $13.25.
29.563(3)(a)5m. 5m. Two-day inland lake trout fishing: $13.25.
29.563(3)(a)6. 6. Annual fishing issued to a member of the armed forces under s. 29.194 (2): $0.
29.563(3)(a)7. 7. Annual or temporary fishing issued to a disabled person under s. 29.193 (3) (a) or (b) or (3m): $6.25.
29.563(3)(a)7m. 7m. One-day group fishing issued under s. 29.193 (5): $24.25.
29.563(3)(a)8. 8. Annual fishing issued to a resident at a Wisconsin veterans home under s. 45.50: $0.
29.563(3)(a)9. 9. Annual or temporary fishing issued to a disabled veteran under s. 29.193 (3) (c) or (3m): $2.25.
29.563(3)(a)10. 10. Sturgeon spearing: $19.25.
29.563(3)(b) (b) Nonresident licenses.

29.563(3)(d) (d) Other. One-day special fishing events: the fee as established by rule.
29.563(3m) (3m)Fishing approvals for certain nonresidents. The fees for fishing licenses for a 16 or 17 year-old who is not a resident and who exhibits proof that his or her parent is a resident shall be the same as the fees for fishing licenses for residents under sub. (3) (a).
29.563(3r) (3r)Reduced fees for certain annual fishing licenses.
29.563(3r)(a)(a) Instead of the fee charged under sub. (3) (a) 1., the department shall charge a reduced fee for a resident annual fishing license if the applicant holds a resident one-day fishing license under s. 29.219 (2m) that is valid during the same year for which the annual license is issued. The reduced fee shall be an amount equal to the difference between the fee for the resident annual fishing license under sub. (3) (a) 1. and the fee for a resident one-day fishing license under sub. (3) (a) 4m.
29.563(3r)(b) (b) Instead of the fee charged under sub. (3) (b) 1., the department shall charge a reduced fee for a nonresident annual fishing license if the applicant holds a nonresident one-day fishing license under s. 29.228 (4m) that is valid during the same year for which the annual license is issued. The reduced fee shall be an amount equal to the difference between the fee for the nonresident annual fishing license under sub. (3) (b) 1. and the fee for a nonresident one-day fishing license under sub. (3) (a) 5m.
29.563(4) (4)Combination approvals. The fees for combination approvals are as follows:
29.563(4)(a) (a) Resident licenses.
29.563(4)(a)1.1. Sports: $57.25 or a greater amount at the applicant's option.
29.563(4)(a)1m. 1m. Sports issued to persons who are under 18 years of age: $32.25 or a greater amount at the applicant's option.
29.563(4)(a)2. 2. Conservation patron: $160.25 or a greater amount at the applicant's option.
29.563(4)(a)2m. 2m. Conservation patron issued to persons who are under 18 years of age: $70.25 or a greater amount at the applicant's option.
29.563(4)(a)2s. 2s. Conservation patron issued under s. 29.235 (3m) to a recipient of the purple heart medal: $9.25 or a greater amount at the applicant's option.
