AR4,1,43Whereas, there are nearly 6 million grocery store employees in the United 4States; and AR4,1,75Whereas, in Wisconsin, there are 94,000 grocery store, convenience store, and 6food-related retail jobs that provide $2.8 billion in payroll and generate $6.3 billion 7in economic activity; and AR4,1,98Whereas, grocery, convenience, and food retail employees provide all 9Americans with access to safe, healthy, and affordable food; and AR4,1,1110Whereas, grocery, convenience, and food retail employees work to enhance the 11health and well-being of each customer; and AR4,1,1312Whereas, grocery, convenience, and food retail employees contribute and 13volunteer countless hours in their communities; and AR4,2,2
1Whereas, grocery, convenience, and food retail employees have faced 2unprecedented challenges the last three years keeping retail shelves stocked; and AR4,2,63Whereas, grocery, convenience, and food retail employees have and continue to 4meet and exceed these challenges, while displaying courage, compassion, 5dedication, and leadership, as well as exemplifying customer service and 6community outreach; and AR4,2,97Whereas, the need for grocery, convenience, and food retail employees is 8greater than ever because of current and growing consumer demands as well as 9their reputation for excellence; now, therefore, be it AR4,2,1210Resolved by the assembly, That the Wisconsin Assembly hereby proclaims 11our appreciation and respect for our Grocery and Retail Food Employees and asks 12all citizens to join in honoring our Grocery Store Heroes.
