This bill exempts a judicial security profile form from disclosure under the public records law. Under the bill, a judicial security profile form is a form completed by or on behalf of a current or former judicial officer, such as a judge or court commissioner, and used to develop an emergency response plan.
SB928,,44The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
SB928,15Section 1. 19.36 (14) of the statutes is created to read:
SB928,,6619.36 (14) Judicial security profiles. (a) In this subsection:
SB928,,771. “Judicial officer” means any of the following, whether living or deceased:
SB928,,88a. A justice or former justice of the supreme court.
SB928,,99b. A judge or former judge of the court of appeals.
SB928,,1010c. A judge or former judge of any circuit court.
SB928,,1111d. A municipal judge or former municipal judge in this state.
SB928,,1212e. A circuit court commissioner or former circuit court commissioner in this state.
SB928,,13132. “Judicial security profile form” means a form prescribed by the director of state courts.
SB928,,1414(b) An authority shall not provide access under s. 19.35 (1) to a judicial security profile form that is completed by or on behalf of a judicial officer and used to develop an emergency response plan.
