AB565,,33Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau This bill appropriates money for the Department of Safety and Professional Services to hire nine full-time staff to process professional license applications, eight full-time staff to communicate with customers and the public, and two full-time staff to help individuals, employers, and institutions of higher education understand the credential application and approval process.

In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of safety and professional services under s. 20.165 (1) (g), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2023-24 is increased by $552,300 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 9.0 PR positions for staff to process professional credential applications. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of safety and professional services under s. 20.165 (1) (g), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2024-25 is increased by $708,900 to provide funding for the positions authorized under this subsection.
