1An Act relating to: UW System institution participation in Department of
2Public Instruction-initiated landscape analysis.

This bill requires that University of Wisconsin System institutions, if
requested, fully cooperate and participate in a “landscape analysis.” The term
“landscape analysis” is defined in the bill as the analysis of educator preparation
programs for which the Joint Committee on Finance has approved the use of moneys
from the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, P.L.
117-2, and that is conducted
by an independent organization that has been chosen by the Department of Public
Instruction.

1(a) In this subsection, “landscape analysis” means the analysis of educator
2preparation programs for which the joint committee on finance has approved the use

(b) An institution, as defined in s. 36.05 (9), shall cooperate and participate in
7any landscape analysis if the department of public instruction requests the
8institution's cooperation or participation.
