SB319,1,1 1An Act relating to: University of Wisconsin commencement ceremonies.

This bill requires the University of Wisconsin System to allow the parent or
guardian of a graduating student to attend the student's in-person commencement
ceremony in 2021 if the student's UW institution holds an in-person commencement
ceremony.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB319,1 2Section 1 . Nonstatutory provisions.
SB319,1,33 (1) In this section:
SB319,1,44 (a) “Board” has the meaning given in s. 36.05 (2).
SB319,1,55 (b) “Institution” has the meaning given in s. 36.05 (9).
SB319,2,26 (2) If an institution holds an in-person commencement ceremony for
7graduating students in 2021, neither the board nor the institution may deny a parent

1or guardian of a graduating student the opportunity to attend the student's
2in-person commencement ceremony.
