SB1076,1,3 An Act to create 5.05 (11r), 20.510 (1) (fg) and 20.510 (1) (fh) of the statutes; relating to: grants to municipalities and counties for purposes of election administration and making an appropriation.

This bill requires the Elections Commission to award a grant of $0.50 per capita in each fiscal year to municipalities in Wisconsin, and $0.25 per capita in each fiscal year to counties, to assist with election administration.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB1076,1 Section 1 . 5.05 (11r) of the statutes is created to read:

SB1076,2,2 5.05 (11r) Aids to counties and municipalities for election administration. (a) From the appropriation under s. 20.510 (1) (fg), the commission shall award a grant each fiscal year to each municipality in this state to assist with election administration. Each grant awarded under this paragraph shall equal $0.50 per capita of the municipality and may be used only for purposes of election administration.

SB1076,2,6 (b) From the appropriation under s. 20.510 (1) (fh), the commission shall award a grant each fiscal year to each county in this state to assist with election administration. Each grant awarded under this paragraph shall equal $0.25 per capita of the county and may be used only for purposes of election administration.

SB1076,2 Section 2 . 20.510 (1) (fg) of the statutes is created to read:

SB1076,2,10 20.510 (1) (fg) Aids to municipalities for election administration. A sum sufficient for grants to municipalities to assist with election administration under s. 5.05 (11r) (a).

SB1076,3 Section 3 . 20.510 (1) (fh) of the statutes is created to read:

SB1076,2,13 20.510 (1) (fh) Aids to counties for election administration. A sum sufficient for grants to counties to assist with election administration under s. 5.05 (11r) (b).
