1An Act to create 36.11 (59) and 38.12 (15) of the statutes;
relating to: nursing

This bill requires the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System
and technical college district boards to collect data identifying, respectively, the
number of qualified applicants denied enrollment in a nursing degree program of a
UW institution or technical college because of program capacity constraints, and to
annually report to the legislature 1) this number, and 2) the admissions criteria used
to determine applicants' qualifications. The bill also requires the Board of Regents
and technical college district boards to submit to the legislature a plan to increase
enrollment capacity in UW System and technical college nursing degree programs
in the 10-year period following the plan's submission.

6of the legislature, for distribution to the legislature under s. 13.172 (2), a report
7identifying all of the following for the most recent academic year:
