1An Act to renumber and amend 15.06 (5) of the statutes;
relating to:
2relocating the offices of the Elections Commission.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law requires that every commission maintain its offices in the city of
Madison. Under this bill, beginning no later than April 15, 2024, the Elections
Commission must maintain its offices in the city of Wausau.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 15.06 (5) of the statutes is renumbered 15.06 (5) (a) and amended

(5) (a) Every commission shall meet on the call of the chairperson or a
6majority of its members.

3locations as will best serve the citizens of this state. The elections commission and
4the ethics commission shall meet in person at least 4 times each year and shall
5conduct meetings in accordance with accepted parliamentary procedure.
