AB50-ASA2-AA10,4,161449.45 (30j) (bm) The department shall reimburse under the Medical 15Assistance program under this subchapter any service provided by a certified peer 16specialist if the service satisfies all of the following conditions: AB50-ASA2-AA10,4,18171. The recipient of the service provided by a certified peer specialist is in 18treatment for or recovery from a mental illness or a substance use disorder. AB50-ASA2-AA10,4,20192. The certified peer specialist provides the service under the supervision of a 20competent mental health professional. AB50-ASA2-AA10,4,23213. The certified peer specialist provides the service in coordination with the 22Medical Assistance recipient’s individual treatment plan and in accordance with 23the recipient’s individual treatment goals. 14. The certified peer specialist providing the service has completed training 2requirements, as established by the department by rule, after consulting with 3members of the recovery community. AB50-ASA2-AA10,5,7549.45 (30j) (c) The department shall certify under Medical Assistance peer 6recovery coaches and certified peer specialists to provide services in accordance 7with this subsection. AB50-ASA2-AA10,5,10949.46 (2) (b) 14p. Subject to s. 49.45 (30j), services provided by a peer recovery 10coach or a certified peer specialist. AB50-ASA2-AA10,5,2112(1) Rules regarding training of certified peer specialists. The 13department of health services may promulgate the rules required under s. 49.45 14(30j) (bm) 4. as emergency rules under s. 227.24.
