SB70-AA13,1,4 “ Section 1. 20.455 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB70-AA13,1,9 20.455 (2) (a) General program operations. The amounts in the schedule for general program operations, including operating the state crime laboratories, performing criminal investigations, providing law enforcement services and, providing independent crime laboratory services for defendants in a felony case upon authorization by the presiding judge, and operating the office of school safety.

SB70-AA13,9227 Section 9227. Fiscal changes; Justice.

SB70-AA13,2,6 (1e) Office of school safety. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of justice under s. 20.455 (2) (a), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2023-24 is increased by $387,800 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 6.0 GPR positions for the operations of the office of school safety to support and enhance school safety initiatives. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of justice under s. 20.455 (2) (a), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2024-25 is increased by $608,300 to provide funding for the positions authorized under this subsection and to increase the authorized FTE positions by 1.2 additional GPR positions for the same purpose.

SB70-AA13,2,15 (2e) Flexible fulltime equivalent positions. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of justice under s. 20.455 (1) (a), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2023-24 is increased by $601,000 to increase the authorized FTE positions for the department by 7.0 GPR positions for flexible fulltime equivalent positions within the department to be used at the attorney general's discretion. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of justice under s. 20.455 (1) (a), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2024-25 is increased by $601,000 to provide funding for the positions authorized under this subsection.”.
