Notwithstanding the length of terms specified for the members of the council on veterans programs under s. 15.497 (2) (ag), each member serving on the council on the effective date of this subsection shall serve the remainder of the term for which he or she was appointed. After the effective date of this subsection, at the expiration of the terms of the members serving on the effective date of this subsection, 7 of the members shall be appointed for terms expiring on July 1, 2024; 6 of the members shall be appointed for terms expiring on July 1, 2025; and 6 of the members shall be appointed for terms expiring on July 1, 2026.”.”.
