SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE BILL 194

SB194-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB194-SA2,1,2 1. Page 3, line 5: delete “2022," and substitute “2023,".

SB194-SA2,1,3 2. Page 3, line 13: delete lines 13 to 14 and substitute:

SB194-SA2,2,2 “(1) If a rule is promulgated under scope statement 148-20 by the department of health services that adds Pompe disease to the list of disorders for which newborns must be tested under s. 253.13 (1), or if a substantially similar rule is promulgated by the department of health services that adds Pompe disease to the list of disorders for which newborns must be tested under s. 253.13 (1), then the department shall submit to the legislative reference bureau a notice specifying that the rule has been promulgated. If a rule described under this subsection is promulgated, this act takes effect on the same date as the effective date of the first rule promulgated that adds Pompe disease to the list of disorders for which newborns are tested under s. 253.13 (1), or the date of publication of this act, whichever is later.”.
