AB829-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB829-SA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 3: after “retail" insert “or automobile".

AB829-SA2,1,4 3. Page 1, line 5: after “theft." insert “(1)".

AB829-SA2,1,5 4. Page 2, line 6: after that line insert:

AB829-SA2,1,12 “(2) If a person is convicted for a violation of s. 943.23 and has 2 or more prior convictions for violations of s. 943.23 for acts that were committed on separate days no more than 5 years before the date that the person committed the act for which the person is sentenced under this section, the court shall sentence the person to a term of confinement in jail or prison for not less than 180 days, but otherwise the penalties for the crime apply, subject to any applicable penalty enhancement. The court may not place the defendant on probation.”.
