1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
21. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:
3 Section 1d. 23.33 (1) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
4 23.33 (1) (d) “All-terrain vehicle trail" means a marked corridor on public
5property, in a highway right-of-way, or on private lands subject to public easement
6or lease, designated for use by all-terrain vehicle operators by the governmental
7agency having jurisdiction, but excluding roadways of highways except those
8roadways that are seasonally not maintained for motor vehicle traffic.
9Section 1h. 23.33 (4) (e) 3. (intro.) of the statutes is renumbered 23.33 (4) (e)
103. and amended to read:
11 23.33 (4) (e) 3. During hours of darkness in the same direction as motor vehicle
12traffic in the nearest lane unless all of the following apply: the all-terrain vehicle or

1utility terrain vehicle is operated on a designated and marked all-terrain vehicle
2trail or snowmobile trail, as defined in s. 350.01 (17).
3Section 1p. 23.33 (4) (e) 3. a. of the statutes is repealed.
4Section 1t. 23.33 (4) (e) 3. b. of the statutes is repealed.”.
