AB203-ASA1-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AB203-ASA1-AA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 4: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
3page 2, line 8, and substitute:
AB203-ASA1-AA1,1,4 4 Section 1m. 45.01 (12) (k) of the statutes is created to read:
AB203-ASA1-AA1,1,105 45.01 (12) (k) For purposes of ss. 343.14 and 343.17 only, a former member of
6the U.S. armed forces who received a discharge under honorable conditions, or a
7former member of a reserve unit of the U.S. armed forces or the national guard who
8met the requirements for satisfactory completion of his or her initial term of
9obligated service and received a discharge of either honorable or under honorable
10conditions.
AB203-ASA1-AA1,2m 11Section 2m. 343.14 (2) (j) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB203-ASA1-AA1,2,7
1343.14 (2) (j) A statement as to whether the applicant is a veteran, as defined
2in s. 45.01 (12) (k), and, if so, whether the applicant wishes to have his or her veteran
3status indicated on the license or identification card. If the applicant has indicated
4that he or she is a veteran and wishes to have his or her veteran status indicated on
5the license or identification card, the applicant shall provide verification from the
6department of veterans affairs or a county veterans service officer that the applicant
7is a veteran.”.
