ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 128

AB128-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB128-AA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 1: delete “informed" and substitute “written".

AB128-AA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 1: delete “50.373 (1)" and substitute “ 50.373 Pelvic examinations on anesthetized or unconscious female patients. (1)".

AB128-AA1,1,6 3. Page 2, line 3: delete the material beginning with “written and" and ending with “informed" on line 4 and substitute “written”.

AB128-AA1,1,8 4. Page 2, line 7: delete “unconscious" and substitute “unconscious, except as provided in sub. (3)".

AB128-AA1,1,9 5. Page 2, line 7: after that line insert:

AB128-AA1,2,2 “(3) A policy under sub. (2) may not prohibit any person authorized to perform a pelvic examination from performing a pelvic examination on a patient when the patient is unconscious, a pelvic examination is required for diagnostic purposes, and it would be detrimental to the patient to delay examination until written consent can be obtained.”.
