TO SENATE BILL 768

SB768-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB768-SA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 2: delete “inspections." and substitute “inspections and
3providing registration plates to autocycles previously registered as motorcycles.".
SB768-SA1,1,4 42. Page 2, line 2: after that line insert:
SB768-SA1,1,5 5 Section 3m. Nonstatutory provisions.
SB768-SA1,1,10 6(1) (a) In this subsection, “autocycle” means a motor vehicle that has 3 wheels
7in contact with the ground, is designed with seating that does not require operators
8or any occupants to straddle or sit astride it, has a steering wheel, and is originally
9manufactured to meet federal motor vehicle safety standards for motorcycles under
1049 CFR part 571.
SB768-SA1,1,13 11(b) The department of transportation shall issue an autocycle registration plate
12to any individual who applies for a motorcycle registration for an autocycle prior to
13April 30, 2020, and who requests an autocycle plate.

1(c) The department of transportation shall notify an individual receiving an
2autocycle plate under par. (b) that the individual is required to destroy the
3motorcycle plate previously issued for the autocycle.
SB768-SA1,2,5 4(d) The department of transportation may not charge a fee for the issuance of
5an autocycle plate under par. (b) other than a fee for counter services.
SB768-SA1,2,6 6(e) This subsection does not apply after April 30, 2021.”.
