1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

21. Page 2, line 1: after “(1r)" insert “(a)".

32. Page 2, line 3: after “(1r)" insert “(a)".

43. Page 2, line 6: delete “interior life safety," and substitute “ building code
5descriptions, egress plans,".

64. Page 2, line 8: delete “substantially" and substitute “substantially".

75. Page 2, line 9: delete lines 9 and 10 and substitute “structural systems of
8a building.

9(b) 1. “Interior design” does not include services that constitute the practice of
10architecture or the practice of professional engineering.

11Section 1m. 440.96 (1r) (b) 2. of the statutes is created to read:

1440.96 (1r) (b) 2. “Interior design” does not include engineering any of the
2following:

3 a. Foundations, beams, trusses, columns, or other primary structural framing
4members or seismic systems.

5 b. Structural concrete slabs, roof framing structures, or load-bearing or shear
6walls.

7 c. Openings in a roof or exterior wall.

8 d. Exterior elements, including doors, windows, awnings, canopies, sunshades,
9signage, and other similar exterior building elements.

10 e. Heating, ventilating, or air conditioning equipment or distribution systems;
11building management systems; high or medium voltage electrical distribution
12systems; standby or emergency power or distributions systems; plumbing; plumbing
13distribution systems; fire alarm systems; fire sprinkler systems; security or
14monitoring systems; or other related building systems.”.
