SB266-AA1,1,21 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by senate substitute
2amendment 2, as follows:
SB266-AA1,1,3 31. Page 2, line 14: after that line insert:
SB266-AA1,1,4 4 Section 2m. 66.0137 (1) (ad) of the statutes is created to read:
SB266-AA1,1,75 66.0137 (1) (ad) “Building inspector” means a person certified by the
6department of safety and professional services to perform inspections for
7determining compliance with subch. I or II of ch. 101.”.
SB266-AA1,1,8 82. Page 3, line 8: delete lines 8 to 13 and substitute:
SB266-AA1,1,13 9“66.0137 (1) (af) “Dies in the line of duty" means a death that occurs, or
10occurred, as a direct and proximate result of a personal injury sustained by, or a
11single exposure to a hazardous material or condition experienced by, a law
12enforcement officer, fire fighter, or emergency medical services practitioner, if all of
13the following are satisfied:

11. The injury or exposure was sustained or experienced while he or she was
2engaged in a line of duty activity or arose out of and as a result of such an individual's
3performance of a line of duty activity.
SB266-AA1,2,64 2. For a building inspector, the injury or exposure was sustained or experienced
5while he or she was working with a law enforcement officer who is not a building
6inspector, a fire fighter, or an emergency medical services practitioner.” .
