ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 3, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 44

AB44-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB44-AA3,1,2 1. Page 3, line 9: delete “local fire department and".

AB44-AA3,1,3 2. Page 3, line 10: after that line insert:

AB44-AA3,1,6 “6. A law enforcement agency that approves the installation of a barricade device in a school building under subd. 5. shall provide the local fire department with jurisdiction over the school building all of the following:

AB44-AA3,1,8 a. Specifications, designs, and other relevant information for the barricade device, including instructions for operating the barricade device.

AB44-AA3,1,10 b. The means for disengaging the barricade device from the exterior side of the door on which the barricade device is installed.

AB44-AA3,1,12 c. If a school safety plan, as described under s. 118.07 (4), is in effect for the school, a copy of the school safety plan.”.
