2023 WISCONSIN ACT 261
An Act to amend 280.15 (2m) (e), 280.15 (2m) (f) 1m. a. and 280.15 (2m) (f) 2m. a. of the statutes; relating to: administration of well drilling, heat exchange drilling, and pump installing examinations (suggested as remedial legislation by the Department of Natural Resources).
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Law Revision Committee prefatory note: This bill is a remedial legislation proposal, requested by the Department of Natural Resources and introduced by the Law Revision Committee under s. 13.83 (1) (c) 4. and 5., stats. After careful consideration of the various provisions of the bill, the Law Revision Committee has determined that this bill makes minor substantive changes in the statutes, and that these changes are desirable as a matter of public policy.
261,1Section 1. 280.15 (2m) (e) of the statutes is amended to read:
280.15 (2m) (e) Prerequisites for pump installer license. The department may not issue a pump installer license unless the applicant demonstrates competency in pump installing by passing an examination administered by the department or a department representative.
261,2Section 2. 280.15 (2m) (f) 1m. a. of the statutes is amended to read:
280.15 (2m) (f) 1m. a. The applicant demonstrates competency in well drilling by passing an examination administered by the department or a department representative.
261,3Section 3. 280.15 (2m) (f) 2m. a. of the statutes is amended to read:
280.15 (2m) (f) 2m. a. The applicant demonstrates competency in heat exchange drilling by passing an examination administered by the department or a department representative.
Note: Sections 1 to 3 allow a representative of the Department of Natural Resources to administer an examination relating to a license for pump installing, well drilling, or heat exchange drilling. Currently, the department may administer such an examination.
