NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY PUBLIC HEARING AND COMMENT PERIOD
AND SOLICITATION OF COMMENTS ON ECONOMIC IMPACT ANALYSIS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Department of Public Instruction will hold a public hearing as required under s. 227.16, Stats., to consider the promulgation of administrative rules under:
SS-082-23 on proposed permanent administrative rules to amend Chapter PI 34, relating to Elimination of a dance license under PI 34.047 (3) (d) as obsolete.
SS-083-23 on proposed permanent administrative rules to amend Chapter PI 34, relating to provisions of the tier I professional teaching permit.
SS-084-23 on proposed permanent administrative rules to amend Chapter PI 34, relating to issuing a Tier I License with stipulations based on district need.
SS-085-23 on proposed permanent administrative rules to amend Chapter PI 34, relating to clarifying the trade specialist license under s. PI 34.037.
SS-086-23 on proposed permanent administrative rules to amend Chapter PI 34, relating to changes to rules governing assessment teams for Tier IV master educator licenses.
SS-087-23 on proposed permanent administrative rules to amend Chapter PI 34, relating to Innovative and Experimental Teacher Preparation.
Any comment received will also be considered for the development of the economic impact analysis required for rulemaking under s. 227.137 (3), Stats.

Pursuant to s. 227.135 (1), Stats., a statement of scope is prepared in advance of any rule that an agency plans to promulgate. Pursuant to s. 227.136 (7), Stats., a preliminary public hearing and comment period on a statement of scope does not relieve the agency of its obligation to hold an agency hearing on proposed rules under s. 227.16, Stats., after proposed rules are available for review.

The purpose of this hearing to consider public testimony on the scope statements under consideration. Written comments may be submitted via electronic form for each individual scope statement by selecting “Comment on this Statement of Scope” from the Legislative website, as follows:
Written comments received by the date of the hearing will be given the same consideration as testimony presented at the hearing.
