Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On January 27, 2023, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rules affect Chapter NR 812 to allow for the use of new cement formulations for the construction of water wells. A related emergency rule, DG-07-22(E), affecting the same Administrative Code provisions contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose has been published and is in effect.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 056-22, was approved by the Governor on June 30, 2022, published in Register No. 799A1 on July 5, 2022, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on September 28, 2022. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on March 22, 2023.
