NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That, pursuant to s. 227.136, Stats., the Department of Revenue will hold a preliminary public hearing to consider a permanent scope statement which will provide clarification on the active duty military pay subtraction by providing a definition of active duty and guidance as to what type of military pay is eligible. Interested persons are invited to appear at the hearing and may make an oral presentation. It is requested that written comments reflecting the oral presentation be given to the department at the hearing. Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear masks and maintain 6-foot social spacing.
The scope statement may be reviewed and written comments made at http://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/code or to the contact person listed below no later than November 17, 2021. Written comments will be given the same consideration as testimony presented at the hearing. Jennifer Olson
