Public Notice: Effective Date of New Worker's Compensation Insurance Rates Under 2021 Act 29

New Worker’s Compensation Insurance Rates – Effective October 1, 2021

The following notice is being submitted for publication in the Wisconsin Administrative Register as required by 2021 Wisconsin Act 29.

Public Notice

Under ch. 626, Wis. Stat., the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (“Commissioner”) reviews and approves worker’s compensation insurance rates filed by the Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau (“WCRB”) on behalf of its members. As set forth in 2021 Wisconsin Act 29 (“Act”), the Commissioner is required to “submit to the legislative reference bureau for publication in the Wisconsin Administrative Register a notice of the effective date of new rates for worker’s compensation insurance first approved by the commissioner after the effective date of this subsection.” The Act became effective April 29, 2021.

In accordance with the Act, the Commissioner is providing notice that the WCRB filed new worker’s compensation rates on June 30, 2021, which were approved by the Commissioner on July 20, 2021, for new and renewal business effective October 1, 2021.
