Notice of Submittal of Rule to Legislature

On April 7, 2021, the Department of Public Instruction (PI) submitted CR 20-070 Rule with Germane Modifications, a proposed rule in final draft form, to the chief clerk of each house of the legislature pursuant to s. 227.19 (2), Wis. Stats.

This rule was approved by the governor on January 28, 2021.

Dear Assembly Chief Clerk’s Office:

On February 5, 2021, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) submitted CR 20-070, relating to speech and language pathologist licenses, to the chief clerks of the legislature. Since then, the DPI has identified a germane modification to CR 20-070 which is necessary for the implementation of the proposed rule. The germane modification is a technical revision to s. PI 34.040 (2) (j) 4. to properly conform the rule with requirements in statute.

Accordingly, this letter serves as both notice of the DPI recalling CR 20-070 from the chief clerk of each house of the legislature and as a resubmission of CR 20-070 with the germane modification, pursuant to s. 227.19 (4) (b) 4., Stats., as laid out below.

PI 34.040 (2) (j) 4. Has successfully completed training in equity and conflict resolution as required in s. PI 34.022 (3) and (4)completed training under s. 118.19 (8) and (9), Stats.
