SPS 305.003 (64) and (64) (Note) and (31) (Note) and (42) (Note) are repealed.
section 2.

SPS 305.40 (1) (intro) Except as provided under s. 101.862 (4), Stats., no person as of April 1, 2013 2014 may install, repair, or maintain electrical wiring unless the person holds a license or registration issued by the department or is enrolled by the department as one of the following:

SPS 305.405 is amended to read:
SPS 305.405Terminology. For the purposes of this subchapter, electrical contractor certifications and master and journeyman electrician certifications issued prior to April 1, 2013 2014 shall be considered to be licenses.

SPS 305.405 (Note 1) is repealed.
section 12.
SPS 305.41 (1) (a) is amended to read:
SPS 305.41 (1) (a) Pursuant to s. 101.862, Stats., no person or entity, as of April 1, 2013 2014, may engage in the business or offer to engage in the business of installing, repairing, or maintaining electrical wiring unless the person or entity holds a license or certification issued by the department as a licensed electrical contractor, except as provided under s. 101.862 (4), Stats.
section 13.
SPS 305.41 (1) (a) (Note) is repealed.
section 14.
SPS 305.41 (1) (b) is amended to read:
SPS 305.41 (1) (b) For the purposes of this section unexpired electrical contractor certifications issued prior to April 1, 2013 2014 shall be considered licenses.
section 15.
SPS 305.41 (1) (b) (Note 1) and (4) (c) and (Note) are repealed.

SPS 305.70 (4) (a) is renumbered SPS 305.70 (4).
section 17.
SPS 305.70 (4) (b) and (Note 1) are repealed.

SPS 305.91 (4) is amended to read:
SPS 305.91 (4) Examination. Except as provided in sub. (1) (b), a A person seeking to obtain a master plumber license shall take and pass an examination in accordance with s. SPS 305.09.

SPS 305.92 (4) is amended to read:
SPS 305.92 (4) Examination. Except as provided in sub. (1) (b), a A person seeking to obtain a master plumber-restricted service or a master plumber-restricted appliance license shall take and pass an examination in accordance with s. SPS 305.09.

SPS 305.92 (4) (Note 1) is repealed.
section 22.
SPS 305.9905 (3) (a) 2. (Note) and (4) (d) (Note) and (e) and (Note) are repealed.
section 23.
SPS 305.991 (1) (a) (intro.) and (c) are amended to read:
SPS 305.991 (1) (a) (intro.) Except as specified in sub. (2), no person may erect, construct, alter, replace, maintain, repair, test, remove or dismantle conveyances unless the person holds a license or registration issued by the department as one of the following:
(c) The activities under par. (a) (intro.) that may be undertaken by a person who holds a license or registration as a licensed lift mechanic, a registered lift apprentice, or a registered lift helper shall be limited to the erection, construction, alteration, replacement, maintenance, repair, testing, removal or dismantling of conveyances covered under ASME A18.1 and ASME A17.1 sections 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.8.

SPS 305.991 (2) (a) (Note) is repealed.
section 25.
SPS 305.997 (6) (c) is amended to read:
SPS 305.997 (6) (c) The renewal of a license as an elevator a lift mechanic-restricted shall be contingent upon the department's review of the applicant's criminal history record from the department of justice.
section 26.
SPS 305.997 (6) (c) (Note) is repealed.
section 27.
SPS 305 Appendix is repealed.
