PI 34, Educator Licenses
On Tuesday, April 9th, 2019, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 098-18, was published in Register No. 752B, on August 27, 2018, and approved by State Superintendent Tony Evers on September 10, 2018. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 2016 WI 38, 368 Wis. 2d 444.
A related emergency rule affecting the same Administrative Code provisions contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose as this proposed rule has also been submitted for publication in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The proposed rule amends ch. PI 34, relating to cleanup revisions to educator license rules.
Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
