Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On December 10, 2018 the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rules affect Chapter NR 812, relating to well construction and pump installation. The primary objectives of the rule revisions are to correct and clarify language, streamline processes, update construction standards, and ensure consistency with federal and state law. Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 074-16, was approved by the Governor on August 9, 2016, published in Register No. 728A4 on August 22, 2016, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on October 26, 2016. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on January 15, 2019.
