AB55,26Section 2. 175.60 (2g) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

8weapon anywhere in this state except as provided under subs. (15m) and (16) and

AB55,310Section 3. 175.60 (5) (a) 6. of the statutes is amended to read:
AB55,3,411175.60 (5) (a) 6. A statement of the places under sub. (16) where a licensee is

1prohibited from carrying a weapon, as well as an explanation of the provisions
2under sub. (15m) and ss. 943.13 (1m) (c) and 948.605 (2) (b) 1r. that could limit the
3places where the licensee may carry a weapon, with a place for the applicant to sign
4his or her name to indicate that he or she has read and understands the statement.
AB55,45Section 4. 175.60 (7) (c) of the statutes is renumbered 175.60 (7) (cm) 1. and
6amended to read:
AB55,3,117175.60 (7) (cm) 1. A fee for a background check that is equal to the fee charged
8under s. 175.35 (2i) and a license fee in an amount, as determined by the
9department by rule, that is equal to the cost of issuing the license but does not
10exceed $37. The department shall determine the costs of issuing a license by using
11a 5-year planning period.

19individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is within 1,000 feet of the
20grounds of a school is subject to a Class B forfeiture.

5a firearm in or on the grounds of a school if the licensee is employed by the school
6and one of the following applies:
AB55,5,107a. If the school is a public school, other than a charter school established
8under s. 118.40 (2r) or (2x), the school board has adopted a policy stating that
9employees who are licensees may possess a firearm in or on the grounds of the
10school.
AB55,5,1311b. If the school is a charter school established under s. 118.40 (2r) or (2x), the
12operator of the charter school has adopted a policy stating that employees who are
13licensees may possess a firearm in or on the grounds of the school.
AB55,5,1614c. If the school is a private, parochial, or tribal school, the governing body of
15the school has adopted a policy stating that employees who are licensees may
16possess a firearm in or on the grounds of the school.
AB55,1417Section 14. Initial applicability.
AB55,5,2018(1) License fee waivers. The treatment of ss. 20.455 (2) (gr) and 175.60 (7)
19(c), (cm) (intro.) and 2., and (d) and (15) (b) 3. (intro.) and b. and 4. (intro.), a., and b.
20first applies to applications submitted on the effective date of this subsection.
