From the general fund, the amounts in the schedule for wild rice stewardship efforts conducted, in consultation with federally recognized American Indian tribes or bands domiciled in this state, within the waters of areas where the American Indian tribes or bands hold treaty-based rights to harvest wild rice. Of the amounts in the schedule for each fiscal year, not less than $50,000 shall be allocated for public education and outreach pertaining to wild rice harvesting.
