The 6amounts in the schedule A sum sufficient for the payment of the full cost of special 7education for children in hospitals and convalescent homes under s. 115.88 (4) and 8for the payment of aids for special education and school age parents programs 9under ss. 115.88, 115.93 and 118.255 as provided under s. 115.882. AB50-ASA2-AA1,2,611115.882 Payment of state aid; reimbursement rate. Funds appropriated
1under s. 20.255 (2) (b) shall be used first for the purpose of s. 115.88 (4). Costs In 2the 2025-26 school year and in each school year thereafter, costs eligible for 3reimbursement from the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (b) under ss. 115.88 (1m) 4to (3), (6), and (8), 115.93, and 118.255 (4) shall be reimbursed at a rate set to 5distribute the full amount appropriated for reimbursement for the costs, not to 6exceed 100 percent 60 percent of eligible costs.”. AB50-ASA2-AA1,4,65(1) Revenue ceiling; referenda restrictions. The repeal and recreation of 6s. 121.905 (1) first applies to the revenue ceiling for the 2025-26 school year.”. AB50-ASA2-AA1,4,179115.341 (1) From the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (cm), the state 10superintendent shall reimburse each school board, each operator of a charter school 11under s. 118.40 (2r) or (2x), each operator of a residential care center for children 12and youth, as defined in s. 115.76 (14g), the director of the program under s. 115.52, 13and the director of the center under s. 115.525 15 cents for each breakfast served at 14a school, as defined in 7 CFR 220.2, that meets the requirements of 7 CFR 220.8 and 15shall reimburse each governing body of a private school or tribal school 15 cents for 16each breakfast served at the private school or tribal school that meets the 17requirements of 7 CFR 220.8. AB50-ASA2-AA1,518Section 5. 115.341 (2) of the statutes is amended to read: AB50-ASA2-AA1,4,2319115.341 (2) If the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (cm) in any fiscal year is 20insufficient to pay the full amount of aid under this section, the state 21superintendent shall prorate state aid payments among the school boards, 22operators, directors, and governing bodies of private schools and tribal schools 23entitled to the aid under sub. (1). AB50-ASA2-AA1,5,82115.341 (3) Notwithstanding sub. (1), the state superintendent may not 3reimburse the operator of a charter school under s. 118.40 (2r) or (2x), the operator 4of a residential care center for children and youth, as defined in s. 115.76 (14g), the 5director of the program under s. 115.52, the director of the center under s. 115.525, 6or the governing body of a private or tribal school for any breakfast served at a 7school, as defined in 7 CFR 220.2, during the prior school year if the school ceased 8operations during that prior school year. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) 11for the appropriation to the department of public instruction under s. 20.255 (2) 12(cm), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2025-26 is increased by $3,027,400. In the 13schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of public 14instruction under s. 20.255 (2) (cm), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2026-27 is 15increased by $3,082,100.”. (2), the department shall provide payments to a 1st class city school 20district to implement recommendations from instructional and operational audits 21of the school district initiated by the governor. Moneys received under this 22subsection may be expended for items addressed in the audits, development and
1implementation of integrated financial reporting software, and facilitation of data 2compatibility with state and local finance systems. AB50-ASA2-AA1,6,53(2) No payment may be made under sub. (1) unless, at the time of payment, 4the secretary is satisfied that the school district is already making substantial 5progress on implementation of the audit recommendations.
