5this subsection may be used for expenses related to creating career and technical
6education courses and high school career and technical education pathways and for
7expanding access to existing career and technical education courses and high school
8career and technical education pathways. The department shall pay to a school
9board or operator of a charter school established under s. 118.40 (2r) or (2x) an
10amount calculated as follows:

AB50-ASA2-AA1,32,64118.07 (6) (a) In this subsection, cardiac emergency response plan means a
5written document that establishes specific steps to reduce death from cardiac arrest
6in a specific setting.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,32,147(b) Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, each school board, operator of a
8charter school, and governing body of a private school participating in a program
9under s. 115.7915, 118.60, or 119.23 shall have in effect a cardiac emergency
10response plan for cardiac emergencies that occur on school property and a cardiac
11emergency response plan for cardiac emergencies that occur at a school-sponsored
12athletic practice or event. The school board, operator of a charter school, or
13governing body of a private school shall include in each cardiac emergency response
14plan at least all of the following:

AB50-ASA2-AA1,32,17162. Information on how the cardiac emergency response team is activated in
17response to a sudden cardiac arrest.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,32,21183. Requirements for automated external defibrillator placement, including
19that each automated external defibrillator is retrievable within 3 minutes and that
20the placement complies with American Heart Association guidelines, and routine
21maintenance.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,32,23224. Information on how the cardiac emergency response plan is shared at the
23school and within the school community.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,33,4
15. Requirements for ongoing training in first aid, cardiopulmonary
2resuscitation, and automated external defibrillator use for certain school personnel,
3including coaches, school nurses, and athletic trainers, and a requirement that at
4least 3 individuals participate in the training under this subdivision.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,33,556. A requirement to practice the cardiac emergency response plan using drills.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,33,667. Information on cooperating with local emergency medical services.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,33,978. A requirement to review and evaluate the cardiac emergency response plan
8at least annually and after each time the cardiac emergency response plan is
9activated in response to a cardiac emergency.
AB50-ASA2-AA1,7010Section 70. 118.075 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB50-ASA2-AA1,33,2211118.075 (3) Indoor environmental quality in schools model
12management plan. By the first day of the 12th month beginning after the month
13in which the task force submits its report under sub. (2) (f), the department shall
14establish a model management plan and practices for maintaining indoor
15environmental quality in public and private schools. In developing the plan and
16practices, the department shall consider the recommendations of the task force. By
17July 1, 2026, the department shall include in the model management plan and
18practices for maintaining indoor environmental quality a requirement that public
19and private schools shall install and maintain a carbon monoxide detector, as
20defined in s. 101.149 (1) (am), in each room of a school that contains a fuel-burning,
21forced-air furnace or a boiler, or as otherwise required by the department of safety
22and professional services or a person certified under s. 101.12 (4) or 101.14 (4r).
