Moved, that the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules, pursuant to s. 227.19 (5) (dm), Stats., indefinitely object in part to Clearinghouse Rule 23-040, a proposed rule of the Optometry Examining Board relating to continuing education, on the grounds that part of the proposed rule fails to comply with legislative intent. In particular, the proposed rule allows the board to approve continuing education topics outside the practice of optometry as defined in s. 449.01 (1), Stats. As such, the committee indefinitely objects to the part of SECTION 1 of the proposed rule that amends s. Opt 8.02 (1) to add the sentence �A licensee may elect to complete 1 of the 30 hours related to cultural competency or diversity training.�
