Under current law, the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System must ensure that the fall semester classes at UW System institutions do not start until after September 1. This bill requires the Board to ensure that the fall semester classes at UW institutions do not start until September 1.
SB983,,44The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
SB983,15Section 1. 36.11 (16) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB983,,6636.11 (16) Commencement of fall semester. The board shall ensure that no fall semester classes at any institution, except medical school classes, graduate health science classes, and 4th year classes at the school of veterinary medicine, commence until after September 1.
