SB673,,22An Act to repeal 66.0104 (2) (e) 1., 66.0104 (2) (e) 1m. and 66.0104 (2) (e) 2. a. of the statutes; relating to: local inspections of rental properties. SB673,,33Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau Current law limits the authority of a political subdivision to require inspections of rental properties. Generally, under current law, such an inspection must be initiated by a complaint or a special inspection warrant or be performed under a program of inspections that meets a number of requirements specified in the statutes. This bill eliminates these restrictions on a political subdivision’s authority to require inspections of rental properties.
