SB207,,33Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau Under current law, the Department of Natural Resources administers a program to provide grants of up to $5,000 to urban communities to cover up to 50 percent of the costs of wildlife abatement or control projects.
This bill eliminates the undefined term “urban communities” and provides that DNR may provide grants under the program to any city, village, or town with a population density of not less than 125 persons per square mile.
