AB598,,44The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows: AB598,15Section 1. 13.45 (8) of the statutes is created to read: AB598,,6613.45 (8) Public hearings; cosponsors. Any bill referred to a legislative committee that has not received a public hearing shall be scheduled for a public hearing no later than 90 days after its referral if at least one-third of the members of either house of the legislature have signed on as cosponsors of the bill. For a bill that is referred to more than one committee, the 90-day period begins on the date of the first referral.
