Minority Report
On February 15, 2024, Senator Carpenter offered the following minority report, pursuant to Senate Rule 28, to the Senate Committee on Health: Concerning committee action on 2023 Wisconsin Senate Bills 1014 and 1015
Senate Bills 1014 and 1015 were introduced without circulation seeking cosponsorship, and brought up for a hearing and executive action within less than a week.
The situation that these bills attempt to address is of grave concern to residents of the Chippewa Valley region, and to residents all across the state. That is why I believe it is important to bring all parties together in order to seek solutions that will support hospitals in this region and throughout Wisconsin.
