ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: proclaiming May 2023 as Naturopathic Medicine Month in Wisconsin.
Whereas, naturopathic medicine provides noninvasive, holistic treatments that support the inherent self-healing capacity of the human body and encourage self-responsibility in health care; and
Whereas, naturopathic doctors attend four-year, graduate-level programs with rigorous admissions requirements at institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; and
Whereas, naturopathic doctors are especially skilled in treating chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, asthma, autoimmune disorders, and gastrointestinal disorders, because of their focus on whole-body medicine rather than symptom management; and
Whereas, the designation of Naturopathic Medicine Month promotes awareness and recognizes the value of naturopathic medicine and providing safe, effective, and affordable health care; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature hereby proclaims May 2023 to be Naturopathic Medicine Month in Wisconsin.
