7abbreviation or any other words, letters, sign, card or device tending to or intended
8to indicate that the person is a licensed and registered nursing home administrator.

17examining board may waive all or part of the requirements established in rules
18promulgated under this section if it determines that prolonged illness, disability, or
19other exceptional circumstances have prevented the individual from completing the
20requirements.

23issued under this subchapter. The rules shall require the completion of 28 class

25exceptions as the department may prescribe.

SB193-SSA1,113 12Section 113 . 458.11 of the statutes is amended to read:
SB193-SSA1,39,6 13458.11 Expiration and renewal. Renewal applications shall be submitted
14to the department on a form provided by the department on or before the applicable
15renewal date specified determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a) and shall include the
16applicable renewal fee determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a).
17Renewal of an appraiser certificate automatically renews the individual's appraiser
18license without payment of the renewal fee for the appraiser license or completion
19of any additional continuing education requirements that would otherwise be
20required for renewal of the appraiser license. Renewal applications shall be
21accompanied by proof of completion of the continuing education requirements in s.
22458.13. Notwithstanding s. 458.06 (3) (b) 2. and (4) (b) 2., 1989 stats., and s. 458.08
23(3) (b) 2. and (c) 2., 1991 stats., the department may not renew a certificate that was
24granted under s. 458.06 (3) or (4) before May 29, 1993, unless the holder of the
25certificate submits evidence satisfactory to the department that he or she has

1successfully completed the applicable educational requirements specified in rules
2promulgated under s. 458.085 (1) and the department may not renew a certificate
3that was granted under s. 458.08 (3) before May 29, 1993, unless the holder of the
4certificate submits evidence satisfactory to the department that he or she has
5successfully completed the applicable education and experience requirements
6specified in rules promulgated under s. 458.085 (1) and (2).
SB193-SSA1,114 7Section 114 . 458.13 of the statutes is amended to read:
SB193-SSA1,39,12 8458.13 Continuing education requirements. At the time of renewal of a
9certificate issued under this subchapter, each applicant shall submit proof that,
10within the 2 years immediately preceding the date on which the renewal application
11is submitted,
he or she has satisfied the continuing education requirements specified
12in the rules promulgated under s. 458.085 (3).

18determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a). A renewal under this subsection is subject to sub.

6under this chapter, other than temporary certificates granted under sub. (7), is

9under sub. (7), is determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a). Renewal

11holds a current permit issued under s. 77.52 (9). A renewal application for an
12auctioneer certificate shall be accompanied by proof of completion of continuing
13education requirements under sub. (6).
SB193-SSA1,127 14Section 127 . Nonstatutory provisions.
SB193-SSA1,42,1515 (1) (a) In this subsection:
SB193-SSA1,42,16 161. “Credentialing board” has the meaning given in s. 440.01 (2) (bm).
SB193-SSA1,42,17 172. “Department” means the department of safety and professional services.
SB193-SSA1,43,218 (b) The department and each credentialing board may promulgate emergency
19rules under s. 227.24 necessary to implement this act. Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1)
20(c) and (2), emergency rules promulgated under this paragraph remain in effect until
21May 1, 2025, or the date on which permanent rules take effect, whichever is sooner.
22Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1) (a) and (3), neither the department nor any
23credentialing board is required to provide evidence that promulgating a rule under
24this paragraph as an emergency rule is necessary for the preservation of the public

1peace, health, safety, or welfare or provide a finding of emergency for a rule
2promulgated under this paragraph.
