4board determines that prolonged illness, disability or other exceptional
5circumstances have prevented a licensee from completing the requirements.

AB204-ASA1,33,219 449.06 (2m) The examining board shall promulgate rules requiring a person
20who is issued a license to practice optometry to complete, during the each 2-year
21period within the 4-year period immediately preceding the person's renewal date
22specified in determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a), not less than 30 hours of continuing
23education. The rules shall include requirements that apply only to optometrists who
24are allowed to use topical ocular diagnostic pharmaceutical agents under s. 449.17

1or who are allowed to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents or remove foreign
2bodies from an eye or from an appendage to the eye under s. 449.18.
AB204-ASA1,90 3Section 90 . 450.08 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,33,74 450.08 (1) The renewal dates for all licenses and registrations granted by the
5board are specified determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a). Except as provided under sub.
6(2) (a), only a holder of an unexpired license or registration may engage in his or her
7licensed activity.
AB204-ASA1,91 8Section 91 . 450.08 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,33,159 450.08 (2) (a) A pharmacist's license may be renewed by complying with
10continuing education requirements under s. 450.085 and paying the applicable fee
11determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a) on or before the applicable
12renewal date specified determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a). Notwithstanding s. 440.08
13(3) (a), if a pharmacist fails to obtain renewal by that date, the board may suspend
14the pharmacist's license, and the board may require the pharmacist to pass an
15examination to the satisfaction of the board to restore that license.
AB204-ASA1,92 16Section 92 . 450.08 (2) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,33,2117 450.08 (2) (b) A pharmacy, pharmacy technician's, manufacturer's,
18distributor's, or home medical oxygen provider's license or registration may be
19renewed by paying the applicable fee determined by the department under s. 440.03
20(9) (a) on or before the applicable renewal date specified determined under s. 440.08
21(2) (a).
AB204-ASA1,93 22Section 93 . 450.085 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,34,623 450.085 (1) An applicant for renewal of a license under s. 450.08 (2) (a) shall
24submit proof that he or she has completed, within the each 2-year period within the
254-year period
immediately preceding the date of his or her application, 30 hours of

1continuing education in courses conducted by a provider that is approved by the
2Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or in courses approved by the board.
3Courses specified in s. 450.035 (1r) and (2) are courses in continuing education for
4purposes of this subsection. This subsection does not apply to an applicant for
5renewal of a license that expires on the first renewal date after the date on which the
6board initially granted the license.

AB204-ASA1,34,118 451.04 (4) Expiration and renewal. Renewal applications shall be submitted
9to the department on a form provided by the department on or before the applicable

11applicable renewal fee determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a).

14examinations, brokers and salespersons licensed under this chapter, and interested

16brokers and salespersons to complete 18 hours of continuing education per 2-year

criteria for the approval of continuing
18educational programs and courses in real estate related subjects required for
19renewal under s. 452.12 (5) (c)

23as a broker or salesperson, as the case may be, until the applicable renewal date
24specified determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a).

5Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System for research and

24been granted an exemption under this subsection may not return to active practice

1completed the required continuing education credits within the 2-year 4-year period
2prior to the return to the practice of psychology.

15commencement of a full 2-year licensure period , new licensees shall not be required
16to meet continuing education requirements. All registration fees are payable on or
17before the applicable renewal date specified under s. 440.08 (2) (a)

23person's name. No other person may use or be designated by such title or such
24abbreviation or any other words, letters, sign, card or device tending to or intended
25to indicate that the person is a licensed and registered nursing home administrator.

15issued under this subchapter. The rules shall require the completion of 28 class
16hours of continuing education per 2-year period, subject to s. 458.09 (3) and other
17exceptions as the department may prescribe.

AB204-ASA1,115 4Section 115 . 458.11 of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,39,23 5458.11 Expiration and renewal. Renewal applications shall be submitted
6to the department on a form provided by the department on or before the applicable
7renewal date specified determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a) and shall include the
8applicable renewal fee determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a).
9Renewal of an appraiser certificate automatically renews the individual's appraiser
10license without payment of the renewal fee for the appraiser license or completion
11of any additional continuing education requirements that would otherwise be
12required for renewal of the appraiser license. Renewal applications shall be
13accompanied by proof of completion of the continuing education requirements in s.
14458.13. Notwithstanding s. 458.06 (3) (b) 2. and (4) (b) 2., 1989 stats., and s. 458.08
15(3) (b) 2. and (c) 2., 1991 stats., the department may not renew a certificate that was
16granted under s. 458.06 (3) or (4) before May 29, 1993, unless the holder of the
17certificate submits evidence satisfactory to the department that he or she has
18successfully completed the applicable educational requirements specified in rules
19promulgated under s. 458.085 (1) and the department may not renew a certificate
20that was granted under s. 458.08 (3) before May 29, 1993, unless the holder of the
21certificate submits evidence satisfactory to the department that he or she has
22successfully completed the applicable education and experience requirements
23specified in rules promulgated under s. 458.085 (1) and (2).
