AB204-ASA1,119 17Section 119 . 459.09 (1) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,40,2418 459.09 (1) (b) Submit with the renewal application proof that he or she
19completed, within the 2 years each 2-year period within the 4-year period
20immediately preceding the date of his or her application, 20 hours of continuing
21education programs or courses of study approved or required under rules
22promulgated under s. 459.095. This paragraph does not apply to an applicant for
23renewal of a license that expires on the first renewal date after the date on which the
24examining board initially granted the license.
AB204-ASA1,120 25Section 120 . 459.24 (5) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

19continuing education programs or courses of study to qualify for renewal of his or her
20license. The rules promulgated under this paragraph may not require a license
21holder to complete more than 24 hours of continuing education programs or courses
22of study per 2-year period in order to qualify for renewal of his or her license.

AB204-ASA1,42,20 14470.07 Renewal of licenses. The renewal dates for licenses granted under
15this chapter are specified shall be as determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a). Renewal
16applications shall be submitted to the department on a form provided by the
17department and shall include the renewal fee determined by the department under
18s. 440.03 (9) (a) and evidence satisfactory to the appropriate section of the examining
19board that the applicant has completed any continuing education requirements
20specified in rules promulgated under s. 470.03 (2).
AB204-ASA1,128 21Section 128 . 480.08 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB204-ASA1,43,522 480.08 (5) Expiration and renewal. The renewal date for certificates granted
23under this chapter, other than temporary certificates granted under sub. (7), is
24specified
shall be as determined under s. 440.08 (2) (a), and the renewal fee for
25certificates granted under this chapter, other than temporary certificates granted

1under sub. (7), is determined by the department under s. 440.03 (9) (a). Renewal
2applications shall include evidence satisfactory to the department that the applicant
3holds a current permit issued under s. 77.52 (9). A renewal application for an
4auctioneer certificate shall be accompanied by proof of completion of continuing
5education requirements under sub. (6).
AB204-ASA1,129 6Section 129 . Nonstatutory provisions.
AB204-ASA1,43,77 (1) (a) In this subsection:
AB204-ASA1,43,8 81. “Credentialing board” has the meaning given in s. 440.01 (2) (bm).
AB204-ASA1,43,9 92. “Department” means the department of safety and professional services.
AB204-ASA1,43,1810 (b) The department and each credentialing board may promulgate emergency
11rules under s. 227.24 necessary to implement this act. Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1)
12(c) and (2), emergency rules promulgated under this paragraph remain in effect until
13May 1, 2025, or the date on which permanent rules take effect, whichever is sooner.
14Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1) (a) and (3), neither the department nor any
15credentialing board is required to provide evidence that promulgating a rule under
16this paragraph as an emergency rule is necessary for the preservation of the public
17peace, health, safety, or welfare or provide a finding of emergency for a rule
18promulgated under this paragraph.
AB204-ASA1,130 19Section 130. Initial applicability.
AB204-ASA1,43,2220 (1) The treatment of ss. 441.07 (7) (a) (intro.) and 1. and (b), 441.06 (3), and
21441.10 (6) first applies as specified in the rules promulgated by the department of
22safety and professional services under s. 440.08 (2) (ar).
